MAKE A WOOD RELIEF CARVING
Come along for a weekend and learn wood carving techniques whilst making to relief carving to your own design. Be guided through all the stages of making it from design work to carving and finishing.

We will provide you with an oak block of 200mm x 169mm x 25mm for your relief carving and help you with your design. You may find it useful to think about what you would like to carve before you come so that you are ready to discuss ideas with your tutor at the beginning of the first session. If you already have a design that you would like to carve please feel free to bring it along so you can get carving straight away!

Tutoring, tool use and materials are included in the initial course fee – there are no additional costs.
HOW OUR CLASSES WORK:
Our carving weekends have a tutor:student ratio of 1:8 and are for beginners.
Tuition is given on an individual basis at each student’s bench to ensure a fully COVID-secure working and learning environment.
