Description

WEAVE YOUR OWN FABRIC

You’ve completed level one and two and now you’re brimming with ideas for your own projects. At this point you can choose your own project and will be supported throughout by tutor guidance from weaving the fabric to creating the end product.

This will involve helping you plan the design, pick appropriate yarns for your warp and weft, deciding on the sett and troubleshooting any potential difficulties. Then continuous support to see your project come to life.

COURSE LENGTH:

This varies with project length – the pace at which you work is set by you. You will be a member of the class on a rolling basis.

SKILL LEVEL:

HOW TO BOOK IN:

By individual arrangement – please contact us to discuss your experience and proposed project.

When you accept a start date, you can either book in for a block of classes through this website page using the drop down menus above or, we will send you a payment agreement using the WorldPay FuturePay facility. The payment agreement will enable us to take payment from a card for 2 classes every 2 weeks in advance. You can leave the class at any time but we do ask for 2 weeks notice.

INCLUDED IN THE COURSE FEE:

Tutoring and tool use only. You will need to source your own yarn for your project, which we will help you to do prior to your start date.

If you would like to bring your own rigid heddle loom to use that’s absolutely fine – just let us know. We also offer the option to take a loom home to keep working mid course once the tutor is happy that you can continue unguided. There is a deposit of £200 payable for this.

HOW OUR CLASSES WORK:

Our weaving classes are mixed level, which means there may be people in your class working on different projects to you.

Tuition is given on an individual basis at each student’s bench to ensure a fully COVID-secure working and learning environment.
